Study on the Image of the Project Management Profession
Richard Newton and I thought for quite some time about making a study about the image of the project management profession. We both noticed that there is a gap between what project managers do and what they think they do, between how important they feel as part of their organizations and how important they actually are. With the help of a quick survey, we want to understand how big is this gap and see if there's anything we can do to bridge it.
If you work as a project manager or have worked with project managers, then please take 5 minutes of your time to answer a few questions.
UPDATE: the survey is now closed. We will take some time to analyze the results and come back with an analysis. A big thank you to all the people who replied to it.

What Will We Do With the Results?
After we gather enough opinions, we will close the survey and share the results with the world. Of course, all answers are anonymous, so don't worry about any privacy issues. It will take us a while to analyze and summarize everything in an understandable format. So please be patient with us. We will publish them as soon as we can.

Hi,
I wanted to take the survey but the Occupation field is problematic. I think that people should be able to choose more than one field.
For example, how would you select that field for your case? Are you going to select only P_Manager or are you also going to select - Technical - Writer ? If you are going to select only the P_Manager are you going to place the years (see time experience field) only in that domain or the entire time-frame experience that you have ( P_Manager + T_Writer).
In rest succes ;)
The Occupation field is to give us an indicator in which area you work (as a project manager or something else). To see how much diversity we have, if we managed to reach a diverse group of people or not.
